How the journey works
From Rostock, the crossing on the Rostock-Gedser ferry takes around two hours. In Gedser you drive straight off the ship onto the E55 and reach Copenhagen via Falster and Zealand in about two hours. From there it is a good 30 minutes more across the Øresund Bridge to Malmö. All in all, that makes around four and a half to five hours of actual driving time between the terminal in Rostock and the Swedish mainland, not counting breaks.
